We understand you have questions, there is a lot to think about as a wedding guest!
We have compiled the most commonly asked questions below. If your question isn’t answered below, please send us an email.
Wedding things
As for colors, please keep a fall color palette in mind. For examples of fall colors, see this palette.
However, we understand that means might be limited, so if you prefer to attend in a more casual outfit, we're still very happy to have you as our guest.
The one rule: Do not wear any black.
We do allow black accessories such as shoes, belts, or purses.
For reference, see this guide.
We know it’s an investment to attend our celebration (both money and time wise), so we’re not expecting any gifts.
However, if you wish to give us a monetary contribution to help with our wedding costs, honeymoon, and starting our life as husband and wife, we won't reject.
You're welcome to take pictures and video before and after the ceremony. However, please do not post any content until the day after our wedding. Then, make sure to tag us in your social media post.
However, please understand not everyone is comfortable or able to speak English. Some speeches and conversations might be in Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, or Swedish.
Please let us know in which language you'd like to do so, so we can arrange for a translator for guests who don't speak your language.
P.S. Only English, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, and Swedish ;)
Can I bring…
We have compiled a small guest list to keep our wedding intimate and your invitation addresses the people on our list. We do not allow plus ones. In the invitation email and in your RSVP form you can see who is associated with your invitation.
If you think we made a mistake, please get in touch.
We have decided to keep our wedding child-free.
Your stay in Huy, Belgium
On the Saturday, we will cater brunch and dinner and take care of the evening's entertainment (a.k.a. our wedding!).
If you have free time on the Sunday, it's your choice and at your own cost. We're located in the Ardennes, so there's a lot of opportunity for cute village strolling, outdoor adventures like hiking or kayaking, and of course Belgian beer tastings.
If you decide to make your way to Huy by car, it's important to know that the venue does have parking space available.
We don't yet know how the rooms will be divided, as we need our final guest list first. We'll update you as soon as we know more.
If you prefer to book your own accommodation so all facilities are up to your standards, please inform us.
If you want to stay elsewhere or longer, this is at your own discretion.
We will not be catering food for everyone outside of the Saturday.
For your comfort, make sure to bring enough clothes, a pair of pajamas, and some toiletries. Don't forget your wedding guest attire! Depending on your plans for the Sunday, you might want to bring specific gear.
Unfortunately, our host does not provide bed sheets and towels. Please bring your own towel and bed sheets. If you're unable to bring your own, please let us know and we'll be able to book this at a cost.
Logistics
Of course we're hoping for a sunny day with clear skies, but it might as well be raining all day long. We plan to update you as we get closer to the wedding date.

We will provide contact details for a point of contact during the weekend.
