I said I was going to blog more, and once again I disappeared.
In short: after my last update where I told you I hadn’t been feeling so well, I started working fulltime again. I couldn’t handle it, so I went on sick leave for two weeks. Then I went back to work for a week, came to the Netherland for a week holiday, and went back to work. And now?
So the sun came back in Budapest. Not only did it start showing again, it’s also there for more hours. The temperature went up. And I feel so so so much better. I actually hung out with friends in the past two weekends! I think after 12 weeks, I may be on my way to actually getting rid of this mononucleosis!
But that’s not actually what this blog is about. This one is about quitting my job.
So during that sick leave I mentioned earlier, I spend a couple hours each day with pitching for freelance jobs and applying for remote ones. I had a couple interviews, and so far I’ve picked up two clients. I have about 20 to 25 hours of work a week now.
I officially quit my job at the end of my sick leave, a couple days before April 1st.
I was supposed to work until May 31st, but due to some family circumstances I had to go home for a couple weeks, so I went home today (May 1st). So starting today, I’m back to full-time freelancing! I’m so excited!
I have a couple great clients and so far I’ve loved working with them. I’m still on the lookout to fill 10-15 more hours a week and now that I don’t have to go to the office again, I will actually have time for it.
I’ll let you know how it goes!
Love, Petra
