FOOD&DRINKS: Chocolate chip muffins

A few days ago I felt like making muffins. I always made chocolate muffins with a surprise in it (a piece white chocolate), but this time I wanted to make some with chocolate chips. That double chocolate batch didn’t work out, so today I tried again. With this recipe I made 20 muffins, but it depends on what size you use and how much you fill them.

Needed:
- A mixer
- Two spoons
- Cups
- A bowl (to mix in)
- Chocolate
- Cakemix
- 150ml/5oz water
- Two bars of chocolate
- Something to hit the chocolate with (we used a rolling pin)

What you do:
1) Preheat the oven. I used an electrical oven and it needed to be 160C/320F

2) Put the water and the cakemix in one bowl and mix it.

3) Break the chocolate and put it in two bags (to be sure it won’t be all over your kitchen if one breaks). Now hit it with (for example) the rolling pin until the ‘chips’ are as small as you want them. (I know that in America they just sell chips or drops of chocolate that you can put in your mix, that’s easier!) Now, put the chocolate in the bowl too and mix again.

4) Fill your cups by using the spoons. I filled them 1/3rd, but as you can see on the picture, the muffins didn’t even rise above the edge.

5) Put them in your oven! I put them in for 30 minutes and when the bell rings, your done!

An extra way to vary with your cupcakes is to make it with chocolate mix (double chocolate), put in two types of chocolate or put in something totaly different, like raisins or apple. Enjoy!
