PERSONAL: first day of work

Yes, ‘Kruidvat’, that’s where I work now. Today was my first day of work! I arrived waaaaaay too early (but that’s a good thing!). I started ‘mirroring’ (? Putting everything right, so the shells look clean and nice) the store and then I met Suus. I was going to help her get the sales from last week off the shells (and put them somewhere else) and put the new ones in. And wow, that’s a lot of work! We started around 2, I think. We had a 15-minute break at 3.15 and we did the same thing until 6, when we got dinner. (McDonalds!) After dinner, we went back to our shells and finished putting stuff up and cleaning. As you can see, enough to do!

Apparently, this is mostly on mondays and tuesdays. The rest of the days are not this hectic. Which is a good thing on one side (less stress!), but a bad thing on the other side (time goes by slow!). I work again this wednesday (1pm to 6pm). My colleages are really nice and I am happy with that. I wasn’t excited at all (I hate stocking shelves), but they definitely make it more fun! We talked quite a lot and the atmosphere is really informal, but we still do our work and I like that.

ps. it seems like only Dutch people read my blog. And if not; they are the only ones commenting. Should I go back to Dutch blogging? Let me know! (also if you are a foreigner reading along!)

    Nederlands leest chiller vind ik :) En dan kan je ook gewoon het woord ‘spiegelen’ gebruiken en we weten allemaal wat je bedoelt haha. Goed doet je nieuwe baantje bevalt, vooral belangrijk dat je leuke collega’s hebt! Persoonlijk vind ik het juist fijn als je veel te doen hebt, dan vliegt de tijd lekker snel voorbij!

    Je collega’s doen het hem. Mooi dat je het naar je zin hebt. Ik vind Nederlands fijner lezen, maar begrijp het als je in het engels blijft schrijven ;)
