PERSONAL: I got it!

Yesterday it was the day I went to see the rooms in Leeuwarden. I had a lot of fun and the best thing is: I got one of the rooms!

The first room was 20m² and there were 3 ‘room’mates. Two guys and a girl and all 23 years and older. The room had 3 closets. One of them had a sink and a mirror in it, one had shelves and one had room to hang your clothes. It had huge windows (without a good view). It was a independent room. There was no livingroom and everyone had their own fridge and microwave.

The other one was 13m² and 2 roommates. A girl (almost 20) and another girl (21). The room has a closet with shelves in the room and outside the room (but right around the corner) another one with both shelved and a thing to hang your clothes. It had one window with a GREAT view (since it is on the 11th floor! and on the side of the city). It is a bit smaller, but it has a livingroom with a diningtable and they do their groceries together too. They eat together and everything, so it is much more social.

And guess what? I got the second one! It is a bit more expensive per month, but I don’t have to buy a fridge or microwave and plates plus silverware. I don’t have to buy a couch to hang on in my room, but just a bed and a desk, I already have to closets and the best view anyone can wish for (in the Netherlands. Even better would be the New York skyline but yeah…). The girl (Maudi, the one of almost 20) was reaaaaaalllyyyyyy nice and we both didn’t stop talking, so it really clicked. The other girl Maudi chose is Lotte, 21. I haven’t met her yet. All three of us are creative (Maudi paints and photograps, Lotte likes photography and typography and I love writing and just being creative). I am really excited!

Oh, and kinda how the house looks: you get in at the 8th floor. There is a room to put our bikes and stuff and then you go up the stairs. There is the livingroom (with diningtable) and the kitchen. Then there’s another stairs and if you go up there is a bedroom, restroom and laundryroom. After you go up another stairs there are two bedrooms (mine and Maudi’s). On this one or the one before is also a bathroom, but I am not sure which one anymore.

In the week of the 25th we are going to meet and Maudi would like to give us our keys then. From then on I can take some pictures to share and work on my room! I am so excited!

PERSONAL: the weekend

So, until the make-over is here I’ll be writing in English, haha!

What I did this weekend? Well, friday I celebrated my birthday again! This time it was for my moms side of the family. I got a showergel with a sponge, letters to hang on the wall of my room, another Pandora bead, €50 in total and cards. The showergel smells really good and I love the meaning of the Pandora bead! My sister gave it to me and it is a bear. When I was in America I needed a hug and I put that on Facebook. A few weeks later I got a package and there was a bear in it. My sister had send it to me and put a note with it, that said “I am not there to give you a real hug, so here is a bear.” I loved it! So now I always have a bear with me to ‘hug’. Isn’t it sweet?

I also spent 15 hours (8,5 on saturday, 6,5 on sunday) on my sisters present. I gave her a moleskine notebook and on each page I wrote a quote that is motivational, gives hope, brings a smile and gives inspiration. I told her to open it every morning and live up to the quote that she sees (every day of course, but at least that day!). In the evening before she goes to sleep, she can write down a list underneath with all the good things she experienced that day. I personally loved the idea and I think she likes it too.

Tonight I am going to watch a movie, write a review for bookandtea.nl and go to sleep. I am tired after looking up all those quotes!
